Adam Phillips, DO, is a board-certified general surgeon that specializes in vein disease at Florida Lakes Vein Center. Dr. Phillips hails from Tampa and provides expert care for patients in Venice and Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Florida, Dr. Phillips went on to pursue a master’s degree from Drexel University. He earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing a general surgery residency at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan.
Additional training in minimally invasive vein treatments complements his minimally invasive surgical fellowship at St. John Hospital and Medical Center and Beaumont Hospital-Grosse Pointe, both in Detroit, Michigan. During training, Dr. Phillips participated in several medical mission trips to Guatemala and Ecuador, where he was able to use the conversational Spanish he learned in high school.
When not providing patients with expert and compassionate care, Dr. Phillips enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter, working out at the gym, traveling, and visiting Florida’s beautiful beaches.
